WHAT WE DO
Compassion without borders
Pancho and Tibby Animal Society was founded by a group of women from Mexico and Colombia who share a lifelong passion for animal welfare and creating meaningful change. Inspired by the realities faced by street animals in many parts of the world, we created PATAS to turn our passion into practical action and support those already making a difference on the ground.
We partner with trusted local rescues, shelters, and community groups that have the expertise, local knowledge, and commitment to help animals in the most effective way possible. By funding high-impact initiatives such as sterilisation campaigns, we help local organisations grow their impact and reduce suffering long term.
We believe every animal deserves safety, dignity, and the chance of a better life. Our mission is to support local experts, maximise every donation, and create lasting change for animals and communities worldwide.
OUR STORY
Pancho & Tibby
PATAS is named after Pancho and Tibby, two stories deeply shaped our hearts and inspired our mission. For Adri, growing up in Colombia meant witnessing the daily reality of abandoned animals, street overpopulation, and the pain of only being able to help some of them when so much suffering existed. Later, adopting Pancho in the UK opened her eyes to breeding practices and the adoption system, strengthening her determination to create change.
For Bea, adopting Tibby in London became a life-changing experience. Tibby had survived for years on the streets of London and was unwell when he was finally rescued. Caring for him revealed both the resilience animals carry and the suffering that can be prevented through earlier intervention, sterilisation, compassion, and access to care. If Tibby hadn't been living in the streets for 7+ years, he wouldn't be ill and would have had a better and longer life.
Pancho and Tibby remind us every day that behind every statistic is an individual life deserving love, dignity, and the chance to thrive.
After volunteering together for a cat rescue organisation for years, Adri and Bea decided to create PATAS to expand the help to their home countries and beyond!

MEET THE TEAM
We are a small international team united by compassion, action, and a shared commitment to animal welfare. Outside of PATAS, we all work full-time jobs and dedicate our spare time, personal resources, and skills to growing our mission to help sentient beings.
Our team combines experience across fundraising, marketing, operations, technology, finance, and charity operations. This allows us to help small organisations not only through sponsorships, but also by building long-term partnerships to run programmes to increase our impact. PATAS is a community of people who care deeply about animals, the environment and communities, we believe that even small actions, can make a huge difference.
Adriana G
Adri has a lifelong commitment to helping vulnerable animals. Adri supports our partnerships in Colombia, supports community projects, and works on day-to-day charity initiatives.
Bea C
A passionate animal welfare advocate, Bea works on strategy, fundraising, and operations, using her professional experience in Tech and charity organisations to maximise impact for animals in need. Bea manages partnerships in Mexico and Thailand.
Lizeth
Lizeth is a committed rescuer based in Colombia who works directly with vulnerable street cats and dogs. Lizeth leads frontline rescue efforts, rehabilitation, sterilisation, and rehoming work in her Colombia.
